I have always loved yoga and began my practice with a cryptic book I bought in Burlington, VT in 1999. I have used the practice to recover from injuries as an athlete, an outdoor adventurer and childbirth. I am a 200HR RYT (Naturally Yoga), a certified Ayurvedic Home Chef, Master-Level Reiki Certified, have a Children’s Teacher Certificate, a Chair Yoga certificate, have specialized therapeutics training and work with special needs children. I am eternally grateful to my teachers and mentors.

Having grown up in Belgium and England, I add world beats in my classes and I am known for playful classes that amplify the benefits of yoga and ignite the imagination. I also conduct ayurvedic cooking classes and writing/yoga workshops. I see clients in northern NJ and the lower Hudson Valley, and virtual classes are available no matter where you are in the world.

When I am not busy teaching, I write poetry and I am currently working on, Stronger than Ever, a book of poetry and practical tips about healing from a ski accident. I also paint, enjoy time with my kids and play outside in the great outdoors.

Why Yoga?

Rasa means juice, taste, or essence.

Rasa is a Sanskrit word that literally translates to taste, juice, or essence. It is often used to describe emotional flavors or aesthetics that are beyond description.

Yoga is the rasa of life and experiencing all the facets of being human, especially the wholeness of the spirit within. The ancient teachings bring a recognition and awareness of many layers that begin with you, not how you were yesterday or will be tomorrow, but how you are now.

Yoga is knowing yourself… How you move in space, what holds you back, your habitual patterns— how they serve you or not and when you can drop something or adjust as needed. One intention of yoga is self realization. I like to think of it like this: you are whole, you are free, and with practice all is coming…

Postpartum Yoga (right)

Pregnancy is a physically taxing experience, and low-intensity yoga has been shown to help your body recover. It can also reduce the risk of postpartum depression. I used yoga to recover after childbirth, and now I love to help other mothers do the same.

Yoga is for everyone. The benefits of building strength, confidence, flexibility, and focus are just as valuable whether you’re 8 or 80. That’s why I offer yoga classes for children as young as 3 years old. It’s never too early to learn how to consciously gain and retain a state of calm inner peace.


How Can I Help?

I offer a range of individual sessions like chair yoga classes focused on avoiding surgery, fun Mommy and Me classes, special needs classes, and general wellbeing private classes to suit your individual needs.

Reset your body with a Thai yoga massage with me. In this individual 60 minute session, I will guide you through gentle yogic poses and work on tight muscles, myofascial release and any specific injury or soreness.

Come learn about ayurvedic cooking with me! Discover new ingredients and recipes as we cook and eat delicious food together. You’ll also learn ayurvedic practices that you can incorporate into your life.

Reiki is an energy healing practice that involves the delivery of energy through gentle touch. As a Master-level certified reiki practitioner, I will adjust the flow of your energy to promote relaxation and healing.
